IOWA City — Iowa participate in-by-participate in announcer Gary Dolphin, who was suspended previous 7 days for likening Maryland’s Bruno Fernando to “King Kong” just after a video game, will be reinstated just after the stop of the period.
Hawkeye Sports Properties, the multimedia legal rights manager for the Hawkeyes, declared now that Dolphin will return to go over Iowa’s spring soccer practice. Dolphin, a Dubuque County native who has been with Iowa because 1996, will be the Hawkeyes’ soccer and men’s basketball announcer yet again starting off upcoming period.
Adhering to Iowa’s 66-65 house loss to Maryland, Dolphin reported Fernando, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound African-American who was born in Angola, “was King Kong at the stop of the video game.”
